This is a lovely product, but I'm a trackball user... If I was using a mouse, I would most certainly want one of these... 80g Rhodia paper at my fingertips? Oh yea....The only thing - with the smooth surface of the Rhodia paper, be sure to give your inks a few moments to dry on the paper before running the mouse over it. You wouldn't want it to get inky toes...
A combination mouse pad / notepad
• Non-skid backing
• Smooth surface for mouse and pen
• 30 graph paper sheets
Buy them from $5.75-$6.50 online at Vickerey.com, The Daily Planner, and Writer's Bloc.

I use them, and am a fan. It works reasonably well as a pad for an optical mouse. I got it as I wanted something to capture quick notes during the day, and the small pads I use always seem to disappear.
The paper is similar to other Rhodia pads I've used, and is quite nice. Lines stay true (little if any feathering), and the surface works well for any fountain pen.
As you say, give whatever it is you are writing a sec to dry before rolling your mouse. In practice, however, this never seems to be an issue. I tend to jot things down while talking to people, and usually am not swapping back to the mouse prior to working again.
Also, the center of the pad sees the least writing (the mouse is usually in the way).
The pad is bound on the left at bottom sides, which prevent one's hand from dragging the edge of the paper up.
A question would be "how do you use it." I tend to use mine to capture bits of data that float by as I work. Typically, I go through a page a month. I typically don't write a note to hand to someone (in part because I rarely have a clean sheet on top).
I got mine at Appointments in Cincinnati, Ohio.
