I look at these every time I go to Staples, but I never buy them. I love the vintage look but I don't know if they are fountain pen friendly and I don't have much use for a steno style top spiral book.

I have the most unbelievable weakness for Post-It flags. Not the tablets, just the little thin flags for marking your place in a book, or for separating out subjects in a notepad. They are all over my house, yet I can never seem to find them...

They look like Sharpies, but aren't. I wonder if they smell like Sharpies? Cool colors...

Great patterns on these erasers. Someone actually designed these. "Hey Chet - what do you do for a living? Well Bob, you can say that I'm a Graphite Eradicator Graphic Design Specialist."

These are new to me. I might like to try them!

I have some of these and they write & draw very well, though I am not a fan of the triangular shaped body.

I wonder if this would hold my Neocolors?

These looked interesting...I wonder if they are waxy like a regular crayon, or more pigmented like a Neocolor. I'm always on the look out for products that will work on black paper.

I know....it's a ballpoint. (I snapped a pic of the wrong one) But Staples still has stock on the now discontinued Waterman Phileas fountain pens.

Ergonomic pen. Someone was looking for these...Staples has them!

I actually have a set of those Bic permanent markers, and they don't smell like Sharpies to me. Of course, YMMV!
Here's to you for roaming the aisles of Staples and taking pictures! I'm sure you got a few odd looks.
TAO - tell me about it! My camera is small, and I didn't use a flash. I used the viewfinder so it wasn't up to my face and a dead giveaway. No one said anything, but if they had, I would have just told them that I was looking for holiday gifts. :o)
SS - I have those Staedtler Triplus Fineliners and I rather like them. I bought them in Pittsburgh at an art supplier near Carnegie Mellon. I use them when I do interviews and mix/match colours.
Take a closer look at the Waterman - it's a rollerball, not ball point. The fountain pen versions - in black and blue - at my local Staples are $38.88 or thereabouts. I'm still fighting the urge.
I like to joke about having a deep, deep devotion to Staples. :) Especially in the pen aisle.
It's funny that I just discovered this post. I was just at Staples and purchased the two pads in your first photo. These are my "go to" pads for work. The big one stays on the desk in front of me at all times with a pen or pencil ready to jot notes. The small pad is for taking longer term notes, to-do lists, or other lists that I tote around with me. Both pads are fountain pen friendly, but don't have thick paper, and while they don't bleed through, some of your writing will be visible from the back. The front side of the page is ruled, but the back is a grid, which is often very useful.
